My New Digital Camera
I have just bought my new digital camera! It is a Canon 20D digital
camera, with a wide angle zoom lens EF-S18-55mm F3.5-5.6 and a 28-105mm
f3.5-4.5 zoom lens. The camera takes a compact flash card that holds 1.0GB of memory
for lots of pictures!! It is an 8.2 mega pixel camera, (8.2 million
pixels.) It is at the top of the line in professional cameras. My
other Canon lenses are interchangeable with my new Canon 20D. This camera
can be programmed on auto or manual for studio work or for weddings. The camera
has multiple programmed shooting modes. It has a nice large LCD monitor to
view immediate shots. The lens has 9 focus points!! It has a great
battery pack and rechargeable 7.4v battery (BP511A). It has a nice pop-up flash
and I can use my other dedicated flash accessories with it as well as all of my
other professional strobe lighting equipment. The Canon 20D takes beautiful high-resolution pictures whether you want to take a
wide-angle shot or a close-up shot.
Many of my photographs shown on the website were taken with a 35mm Canon EOS A2 Body camera. I dearly LOVE this camera! I can also use this camera on manual or auto mode. On manual, I can set the shutter speed and the aperture or it can be used in the fully automatic mode where the camera automatically sets the correct shutter speed and aperture. I use a Canon zoom lens EF 28-105mm F/3.5-4.5 USM lens. This 28-105mm lens is GREAT!! I find this great camera and lens combination to be very versatile for whatever I want to photograph. I use this camera for most all of my scenic photography needs.
I use this same Canon A2 with the 28-105mm zoom lens in my portrait studio for my indoor portraits. I set the camera on manual mode, set the shutter speed and aperture according to the flash meter reading of the strobe lighting, and I have beautiful results!! I use this same camera and lens to do indoor or out-door weddings and for all occasions.
Sometimes, I choose to use an old faithful Canon T-50 Body with a self-focus FD 50mm 1:1.8 wide angle lens along with a CIMKO zoom lens 80-200mm Fl.4.5. The 80-200mm lens is great for close-ups of wild-life photo's and flowers. I attach a Tiffen circular polarizer filter to all these lenses to bring out the blue color in the sky and the green colors in the trees in my scenic landscapes. This polarizer is a must for serious scenic photographers!!
FILM
I use 35 mm Kodak and Fuji color 100, 200, and 400 ASA speed film and Kodak Elite Chrome and Fuji Chrome color transparency film. I also use 35 mm black and white film and transparencies.
EQUIPMENT
I mount my camera on a sturdy Bogen tri-pod and attach a remote cord to the camera for all my scenic landscape shots, thus assuring against any possible camera shake, which assures a nice clear focused picture.
